Donating to a registered Canadian charity can help lower taxes.
When a donation is made to a qualified charity in Canada, the donor receives an official tax receipt. This receipt can be used to claim a charitable donation tax credit when filing an income tax return with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)—potentially reducing the overall tax amount owed.
This is why our partnership with Jalia Africa Foundation is so impactful. It not only helps us fund the development of Nigeria’s first international-standard gymnastics facility—it also allows Canadian donors to receive official tax receipts and claim eligible tax credits.

Did you know?
At this time, donations to Springboard for Africa are being collected through our official partner, Jalia Africa Foundation—a registered Canadian charity supporting our mission to build Nigeria’s first international-standard gymnastics facility. Because our organization is based in Nigeria, we are currently unable to receive direct international donations. By partnering with Jalia, we’re able to offer a secure, transparent giving pathway—while also providing Canadian donors with official tax receipts.
Jalia will process donations on our behalf and issue official tax receipts for Canadian donors. Once funds are received into Jalia’s account, they will then be transferred directly to Springboard for Africa’s nonprofit account in Nigeria, ensuring your support goes exactly where it’s intended.
We are currently working on additional donation options to offer more flexibility and convenience for our supporters.

How to donate to us through GoFundMe
In addition to our partnership with Jalia Africa Foundation, we’ve set up a GoFundMe campaign to offer supporters another simple and accessible way to contribute.
The campaign is hosted under the name of our founder, Innocent Oshioagbhe. All funds donated through GoFundMe go directly to his Canadian account and are then transferred in full (100%) to Springboard for Africa’s official nonprofit account in Nigeria.
We’ve chosen this method because GoFundMe currently does not support direct transfers to Nigerian bank accounts. This ensures your support reaches us securely and efficiently.
